Yup, I know, way cool right?!! I will touch on 12 reputable apps that I love and use. These apps not only are easy to navigate but are all Free!
I’m going to break them up into the categories, Earn, Save, Invest.
Ok, let’s jump in..
I know everyone wants to Earn money, I mean who doesn’t? I’m going to show you that when spend money, you don’t have to feel as guilty … let me show you how to live that Cashback life!
Yes, I must say Im addicted. The fact that I can spend and have an opportunity to make money back, is a no-brained for me.
💰1 – Rakuten
If you are an avid online shopper, you are going to love Rakuten. I was excited about Rakuten, initially because they offered me $10 just to sign up! So for sure, I was Like ok, I’m in! However, I had no idea how awesome my experience was going to be. Now I consider Rakuten, my shopping browser. I click on my Rakuten app and then search the store I’m going to shop with. Once I’m in, they list all of the available coupons and the Cashback available for that store! At the end of the month, you receive a “big fat check” via mail or opt for a PayPal deposit.
💰2 – Freebird
In the past few years, our lives have drastically changed since Uber and Lyft hit the scene. On the other hand, we all know that having the convenience of a car picking you up in a flash can be quite costly. And if you are anything like me, you are probably screaming at your account after seeing how much money you spent on these rides!
You can imagine, when I learned that the Freebird app offers Cashback on Uber and Lyft Rides, I just had to jump on it! I also must mention that when I first joined, I received $10 instantly and then $5 back on the next two rides that had taken.
Freebird is so cool that you even get Cashback for trying a new restaurant/bar or visiting a new potentially favourite spot, selected by Freebird!
💰3 – Fetch Rewards
Another awesome app to help you to earn money is Fetch Rewards. Now this is easy money, because all you have to do is just scan your supermarket receipts after you’ve shopped. Once you’ve scanned the receipt, you’ll receive points and points convert into money… well gift cards and voila Earn money.
💰5 – Shop Your Way
Adding GasBuddy and Shop Your Way to list is only right. Gas prices never seem fair and unless you have an electric car, your vehicle needs to be fed. Sign up with GasBuddy and ShopYourWay.
A gas card will be mailed to you. This gas card is connected to an account of your choice. Every time you use the card at the gas station, you will receive cash back! Monies will be stored in ShopYourWay, where you can shop and receive more Cashback on your purchases from your earned money!

💰7 – Pei
I’m gonna lastly throw in Dosh and Pei. I’m cheating because they’re really two separate apps, but they basically have similar features. All you have to do is add all the debit/credit card(s) that you use to shop, and voila! You will receive Cashback just like that! Get $5 for signing up for Dosh and $2.50 to start with Pei. Check the app for participating stores and restaurants!
Ok, you’ve just made some money. Now, on to Saving the stuff!
💰8 – CashApp
I’m going to start off by telling you about Cash App. This app is a little unique because it was primarily designed to pay and receive money. However now, you can store money in the app and apply for a cash app debit card. This debit card has the visa logo and can be used anywhere, visa is accepted. What is also significant about the debit card is you can enable and disable your card, allowing you to have control over your funds.
Also Cash App has debit card offers called boosts. You can select boosts to be applied to your cash within the app.
Cash App offers $5 to new sign ups. This has always been exciting for because I also use it as an incentive to gain new customers. I preset my customers with an easy method way to pay and I also explain they will receive $5 off their first order!
💰9 – Aspiration Financial
Another awesome app to help you to save is Aspiration Financial. Well Aspiration is a bit more than just an app, but keep on reading… They offer Spend, Save and Investment Accounts. Although we are discussing savings, I would be remiss if I didn’t quickly tell you about the Spend account, which gives you 0.25% cash back whenever you use the debit card.
I know you may say that isn’t much, but remember this isn’t a credit card but rather a debit card, so this is pretty good. You can also open an IRA or invest in any of the funds offered.
Now for their Save account, they offer a interest rate of up to 2.00% APY, which is pretty sweet compared to other banks.
And to make you love Aspiration even more, they offer up to $1,000 in expense reimbursement, if you are a victim of fraud.
Lastly, if you pay your cell phone bill using the Aspiration debit card, they offer a secondary cell phone protection insurance of $600 per claim, $1,000 per 12 month period. It covers damage and theft! How cool is this?!!
💰10 – HelloDigit
Now, let’s look at this pretty neat saving app, HelloDigit. This awesome app helps you to create financial goals. Pick the amount that you want to have deposited and work towards hitting your goals. Planning a trip? Have all your friends sign up and save towards it. Now no one has the excuse of not having the money!
One of my favourite features on HelloDigit is you can set up a rainy day fund, turn on your ‘Low Balance Protection” and have it automatically deposited if your bank accounts falls below $25. Finally, we are going to talk about Investing using apps.
Whenever use say investing, most of us get a little tense. I believe it’s mostly due to us not learning much about this stuff. Many also have the misconception that it’s only for the rich ones. The truth is, it’s for anyone, even you.
I must admit that I am not an investment guru but what I will tell you is that since I’ve had my investment apps, I have learned a lot more than I did before having them. Now, I am reading articles about companies, about what their next business moves are going to be and what that means for the company.
Most of all, I’m looking at the businesses that I patronise. Since I utilise their products and/or services, I want to have an input and that is exactly what having shares in a company does. Having these apps, makes investing easy because their informative, easy to navigate and you can contribute to purchasing a stock with a minimum payment of $5!
Breathe, believe you can do it and dive in! You’ve already Earned and Saved some money, now it’s time to invest!
💰 11 – Robinhood
Start building your portfolio with Robinhood. This is literally the most straightforward investment app. Select the company you want to invest in, select buy, enter the amount, hit done and that’s it!
What’s most exciting about Robinhood is when you sign up, you instantly get a free stock! It can be from any company, including Apple or Facebook!
Stash is another awesome way to invest. Here you can invest with individual companies, in addition to purchasing ‘stock packages.’ Stash has grouped together companies and have categorized them for you. Here you can select which group you would like to invest in.
